It is still winter here

Some of you may be seeing signs of spring but I think we still have a ways to go. These are some pictures I took after work on Friday.

Fortunately, the daytime temperatures over the weekend are above freezing so hopefully some of the snow will be gone by Monday. (Although the forecast calls for flurries tomorrow evening and below freezing daytime temperatures by Tuesday :( )

Stitching wise I haven't progressed as much as I would of like to. I can't seem to get myself together enough to stitch after work so I only manage to get something done on the weekends. Right now I am working on 2 pieces from the Crazy January Challenge - "Merry Christmas" and "Seaside Sweethearts". Here is my progress to date:

A group of us are going on a crafting (scrapbooking, quilting, sewing, knitting, etc) retreat next weekend. I of course will be bringing something to cross-stitch and probably some knitting. I am really looking forward to it. It is always fun to get away with just "the girls". If I don't finish "Merry Christmas" beforehand I hope I will have it finish by the time it is time to go home next weekend.

Below is the first of the dishcloths I have finished this year through the Monthly Dishcloths KAL Yahoo group. I running quite behind this year and still have to finish some from last year. The pattern is call "Weave Me Wash Me" by Alli Barret of Knitwits Alley.

Well, that is it for now. I wish you all a great weekend and Happy Stitching.
