Productive Weekend/TUSAL update

Finally, after 2 weeks of feeling very run down due to a cold, I had enough energy this weekend to finish decorating my home for Christmas.  On Saturday I pulled all my Nutcrackers out and decorated the main tree in the Living Room.  Today, after grocery shopping, I decorated my Nutcracker tree and wrote the last of my Christmas cards.

I really enjoy decorating my trees - it always brings back many fond memories.

Loved ones who are no longer with us:

These 2 felt ornaments were made by my DH's maternal grandmother.

This pasta angel was made by my DH's aunt.

And this Canada Goose (make with a peach pit and polymer clay) was made by a dear friend who passed away 8 years ago.

Furbabies who have gone to the  Rainbow Bridge:

Shilo
Raider

Nigma

Stitching friends met through the internet:

The following is a sampling of the many lovely ornaments I have received from my web friends.

Last weekend we went to my friend's annual open house.   I always bring her a stitched ornament when we go and this year I gave her one that I had stitched earlier this year.

Plus these 2 little ones I stitched for her children:

This weekend I even managed to finished one more ornament for 2012.  This is the December ornament for the Christmas All Year Round SAL.

Pattern : Christmas Panda
Designer: Artworld Inspirations Limited(Bonus Chart - The World of CrossStitching)
Fabric: 18ct white Aida

Here are all the ornaments I stitched for this SAL.

Last weekend I started my first HAED - So Many Books, So Little Time. (mini).  I will be charting my progress on my sidebar.

Last but not least, my TUSAL update. I collected most of orts last weekend while stitching on the ornaments for my friend's children and on the HAED.

Well that's it for now.  Take care and happy stitching!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to visit!!!!

  6. Lovely ornaments for your tree! I, too, put an ornament up each year of our furbaby Wrongway. And I hang a bell right near his pic as each year for 18 1/2 while he was alive he would go to the tree and wag his tail and ring the bell that was hanging on the bottom of the tree. It is such a great memory! Merry Christmas!! :)
