ABOUT TIME FOR AN UPDATE

Wow, it has been awhile!!!!! I haven't been stitching a lot and now that the spring/summer has finally arrived I am not home much on the weekends (when I usually update my blog). I am going to try and see what I can do in the next couple of days before I am off again on the weekend.

This post will be about the last two exchanges I participated in via the Stitched With Love Exchanges blog.

The Hop into Springtime Exchange was a complete bust for me.  Not only did my assigned partner not send me anything (a chance I take in participating in  an exchange and accept it) but what really upsets me is that the person I sent to hasn't bothered to acknowledge whether or not she received the package I sent.  I really enjoy putting a package together for an exchange and I don't think it is asking too much to be informed as whether or not it arrived.

This is what I sent:

The stitched piece is a freebie from here.

The next exchange I participated in was the Home Sweet Home exchange. Thankfully this one was much more satisfying.

This is what I received from Melanie:

I love the pillow and the 'House' needlebook is so cute.   She also included some adorable house-shaped buttons, scissors, fabric, linen thread, and yellow trimmed banding fabric with matching thread.

This is what I sent to Kathleen:

The stitched piece is a freebie from Primitivebettys.

I chose not to participate in the current exchange Birds, Bees and Butterflies.  I am barely doing any stitching for myself so I didn't think I would be able to do this one justice.

Well, that is it for now.  I will try to be back tomorrow with the little stitching I have been doing.

Take care and happy stitching!!!!!

  3. Loretta,

Beautiful stitching all around! Like you I participated in the Hop into Spring exchange and never got a Thank you. Since this has happened to me more than once I have decided not to do exchanges anymore :( I hope you have more stitching time soon.

  4. Oh, Loretta, your hop into spring package is wonderful! i don't understand how it couldn't have been acknowledged. I'm glad you at least received lovely goodies from Melanie for the second one. Can't blame you for sitting out the next one, though - enjoy some stitching just for yourself.

  6. i don't understand swap partners who are not responsible. Your projects and the goodies you sent with them are just lovely. I've not participated in any exchanges but that is because I really don't like stitching on a deadline.

  7. It upsets me that your partner in the first exchange didnt acknowledge your sent package, looks like you put in a lot of effort and thought, its sad that people can be so rude - the packages you sent look like a lot of fun and the person that did excange with you looks lovely too i especially love the cushion - Amanda
