Happy Valentine's Day and Wipocalypse 2014 - February

Hello!!!!

It's time for another Wipocalypse report.   I had a fairly sucessful month.  I managed to finish two WIPs from last year.

Holly & Hearts Mystery Sampler © 2013 Lizzie*Kate

and Forget-Me-Not © 2013 With thy Needle and Thread

I am still plugging along on the Beary Merry Christmas (Dimensions Kit).  I have finished the 2nd bear (outside of the backstitching) and have started on the 3rd.  (I will post a pic later this weekend.)

Oh, before I forget I did finish the final snowman in Becky Boo's "Let it Snow" © 2002 A Stitcher's Hands.

Tonight I will be working on a WIP(UFO) from 2012 - Snowflake © 2007 Little House Needleworks.   I figure with all the snow we have been getting lately, I might as well go with flow and stitch my own little winter scene.  This is how far I got in 2012.

Now onto this month's topic - How many projects do you generally feel comfortable having in progress at a time?

Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllll, if you are a follower of this blog you will know that I very rarely stitch on one piece at a time.   Usually I am working on at least 3 or 4 projects at the same time.   At least one will be a medium or large piece and rest will be ornament sized.  When I first started stitching I was a one at a time stitcher but then I discover the internet and had access to all the wonderful designs that were available.  There was so much out there that I wanted to stitch and I just couldn't limit myself to stitching just one piece until it was finished.  Unfortunately, that has left me with an ever growing list of WIPs/UFOs.   But I love the stitching and I know that I will finish them one day.  I have managed to clear off 4 from my list already this year.

The way I rotate through my current projects is a little different than most that I have read about.  What I normally do is take a one length of floss for a project and work on the project until that length is used up or until I no longer need the colour in the section I am working on.   I then move on to the next project and do the same thing.  I have tried assigning certain days for certain projects and rotating through them that way but it never really work for  me.   I got too antsy because I wanted to work on the other projects also.  Sometimes when I am nearly finished a project, I will work on it exclusively until it is finished.

Well that's it for now.   Take care and happy stitching!!!!

THANK YOU FOR VISITING!!!!
