Halloween (aka Trick or Treat) Fairy

I have been on a real Halloween kick lately!! (Almost as bad as my Christmas obsession.)

A few weeks (much to my husband's chagrin) I even bought a Halloween Nutcracker!

For the past 2 weeks I have been stitching the Halloween (aka Trick or Treat) Fairy designed by Nora Corbett.  I am putting it aside now until my order for the beads and Kreinik threads needed to finish the project arrives.

The fabric I am using is 28 ct. Jazlyn from Hand dyed Fabrics by Stephanie  called Twixt N Tween.

The chart was originally published in the September 2008 issue of the CrossStitch & Needlework magazine.  It is currently available as a downloadable PDF from Herrschners.

I am really pleased with how it is turning out and can't wait until I can stitch on it again.

Take care and Happy Stitching!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for visiting!!!!

  1. Oh I just ripped this out of the magazine yesterday while I was purging. I love this design but all the brown bothers me: does it seem so 'brown-ey" when you work it up? Other than that I would love to stitch it if it if it's not too difficult.
Thanks for the heads up on Herschnerrs: I did not know they sold downloadable patterns. Usually I buy yarn from them so don't look too much at their cross stitching stuff.

  2. I was somewhat concerned about all the brown myself, initially, but once I started stitching it my concerns disappeared. I really like the way it is turning out especially when I stand back from it.
I saw the advertisement for downloadable patterns from Herrscnmers in a recent issue of Cross Stitch & Needlework.
