A Couple of finishes and an Update on Christmas SAL

I finally managed to do some stitching this past week.

I finished the backstitching on the 2008 Buff-bellied Hummingbird. A BIG THANK YOU to Twig for gifting me this chart along with the fabric and floss. I loved stitching it.

And I managed to finish another ornament.

Finally, here are pictures of another motif and stanza of "The Night Before Christmas" . I am slowly getting to the end of this one.

Tomorrow I hope to get some stitching done on the TW "Peacock Tapestry" and the KK "Naptime Dragon".

Till next time!!!!!!

CWC 2008 Hummingbird almost done!!!!!!

I didn't have much time last week to stitch as I was out of the house Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evening but I managed to catch up a bit this (long) weekend. I want to finish the hummingbird this week since the first installment for the KK Fantasy SAL came out today and I am anxious to start on that. I just have to finish the backstitching on the Hummingbird and then it will be done.

The first 2 patterns from the LHN Monthly Ornament Collection - "Fa La La" and "Pear Tree" arrived in the mail this past week. They have now have been added to my growing list of Ornaments to stitch this year. I have "He's A Flake" on order and need to order "Snowy Pines". As I mentioned before I have joined a SAL for these ornaments and I am looking forward to stitching them all.

Well, it is getting late so take care and happy stitching!!!!!

It's Sunday Update Time Again

I had good week stitching wise. I made significant progress on both the TW Peacock Tapestry and the 2008 CWC Hummingbird. As I posted yesterday I also finished 2 Christmas Ornaments and 1 dishcloth.

The Hummingbird is close to being finished:

I finished all Eyelet Diamonds in the border and started filling in the bottom border on the Peacock Tapestry.

I joined the Stitching Exchange Blog the earlier this week and yesterday received the name of my partner for the "Ready for Spring" Exchange. I spent part of yesterday deciding on what I am going to stitch and getting the fabric and threads together. I am planning to start stitching on it later today.

Happy Stitching!!!!!

Sunday Update

Time for another update. I am going to try to post updates every Sunday.

I am working on the "Twas the Night Before Christmas" as part of the Christmas Design SAL. I will only be stitching on it the first week of each month. I figured out that if I stitch one stanza of the poem and one motif per month I will have it completed well before Christmas this year. I should even have enough time to have it framed. I completed the cherry motif last Sunday afternoon and now the project is on hold until the next week of February.

I have continued to work on the Diamond eyelets on the Peacock Tapestry and have them almost done.

I am really enjoying working on the CWC 2008 Hummingbird. I should have it finished in no time.

My ornaments are coming along great and I should be able to post pictures of them finished by the end of the month (at least 2 of them if not all 3).

I start on my 2nd Dishcloth (Monthly Dishcloth KAL) for the month yesterday. If all goes well I should be able to post a picture of it next Sunday.

Happy Stitching.

Weekly Update

Now that the holidays are over and things are slowly getting back to normal (I love my Nutcrackers but it sure is a process getting them all pack away until next Christmas.), I am going to try to get back to posting a weekly update on my stitching. Yesterday was a great stitching day.

I am back to stitching on the "Twas The Night Before Christmas". I finished up one stanza of the poem and started on another motif.

The following is my progress on the 2008 CWC Hummingbird. You can see a bit of him starting to develop on the left side.

I am determined this year to finish the Peacock Tapestry. I worked on adding the Diamond eyelets to the border this past week.

Happy Stitching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
