Day 51, 52 & 53: DUCJC2015 & IHSW

Busy, busy weekend.

I continued on with Debbie's Ultimate Crazy January Challenge 2015 (DUCJC2015) which tied in nicely with the International Hermit & Stitch Weekend (IHSW).

On Friday night (Day 51) I worked on Main Street Station, the 2nd chart in the LHN Hometown Holiday Series.

On Saturday (Day 52) I pulled out another LHN design - Patience - Little Sheep Virtues #7.

I also managed to finish up a couple of more Christmas Ornaments:

Pouty Owl © 2013 Stoney Creek Collection,Inc.

Mini Christmas Stocking Cat © Lynn B
And finally today (Day 53) I worked on another UFO/WIP - Monopoly © 1984 Parker Brothers, Inc (C&L Crafts & Co.)

(Just noticed but the first picture is a truer depiction of the fabric colour.)

I am very happy with what I managed to get done this weekend and very excited that we are now in the homestretch of the DUCJC2015 - just 6 more starts to go.  For the rest of the week I will be working on the LHN Little Sheep Virtues and on Saturday I will be starting a Lizzie*Kate Halloween freebie called All Hallows Eve.

Take care and happy stitching!!!

Day 30: DUCJC2015

I don't recommend stitching while crying.  It makes it hard to see the holes in the fabric.

This evening I was watching the aftermath of the minibus crash on Coronation Street (one of my all time favourite shows) while stitching on the LHN Little Sheep Virtue - Faith. Well, being the person I am, who cries at the drop of a hat, it wasn't too long before my eyes were welling up in tears.  Although it was a bit of a struggle, I did manage to make a reasonable start on this project.

Tomorrow, my stitching time will be limited as I will be attending an all day seminar.   I am thinking about starting a little freebie from Happiness is Cross Stitching.    I love her cats.

Take care and happy stitching!!!

Thank you for visiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 27: DUCJC2015

I can't believe we are already at Day 27. That means January is almost over and I am almost halfway through the challenge (I am totally crazy and going for the 59 starts). Today, I started the LHN Sheep Virtue #4 - Courage.   It is my fifth.

Here are the ones I previously stitched.

Tomorrow, I will be back with Joy in the Journey. I have wanted to stitch this one for quite some time and it is calling me.

Take care and happy stitching.

Weekly Update - Another WIP/UFO is finished

Well another WIP/UFO bites the dust. This one is from Blackbird Designs - Loose Feathers Club called Garland Fair. I started it in 2011 and put the last stitch in this weekend.

I am so happy that so far I keeping to my resolve to have more finishes than starts this year.  I hope I can keep it up.

My Just Nan/Charland Designs piece Side by Side is progressing along quite nicely.  I finished Part I last night and now I am ready to start on Part II.

Finally getting some stitching done!!!!

Earlier this week I received  Part I of the LHN Song of the Seasons Mystery Sampler and although I have a lot of other stitching started I couldn't resist putting the needle to this one right away.   I actually finished it up this morning and can't wait until I get Part II.

Two weeks ago we put up my new Stitching/Reading screen tent up.   I love sitting out among the trees (protected from the mosquitoes) and stitching in the natural light.   This new tent is one of the new pop-up types.  I love it!!!!   It is such a breeze compared to the first screen tent I ever had.  That one was such a nightmare to put up every time.  No matter what we did to organize the poles it was still a challenge to put up.

Last weekend I finished the first the 2nd LHN Little Sheep Virtue - Love.

The weekend before I made significant progress on the LHN Needleworker (I seem to be on real LHN kick right now).   I might even of had it finished if I didn't forget ugh!!) to bring the pattern with me to the trailer last weekend.

Well that's it for now.  Take care and happy stitching!!!!!!!!!!
