Day 32 & Day 33: DUCJC2015

I didn't post yesterday but I did stitch.

We were watching Shameless (the British version) on Netflix through my laptop and by the time we stopped I was too tired to post.

Day 32 was a WIP/UFO day. I pulled out a HAED design called "So Many Books, So Little Time". I love the colours and the little dragons in this design. You can see a picture of how it will when completed on my sidebar. Below are before and after pictures.

Today's start is another freebie from Lynn B at Happiness is Cross Stitching called Christmas Mini Cat. For the next few days I plan to start her Mini Christmas Stocking Cat and the January and March Cat.

Well, I am all caught up now so take care and happy stitching!!!

Time For an Update

It has been a busy few days but things have quieted down now so I thought I would post an update.

I will start first with the last exchange I participated in through the Stitched with Love Exchanges - Christmas Stitches. My partner to send to was Shannon and this is what I sent her:

The following is what I received from Renee:

The mini tree skirt is so adorable.  I put it around my 2000 years ago tree:

The little Nutcracker ornament was promptly added to my Nutcracker tree:

I spent the last few days before Christmas Eve finishing the X's & O's scarf for my DH.  He absolutely loved it. (It was so funny.   I was stitching this in the den while watching TV with him and he didn't even notice.)

On Boxing Day (Dec. 26th) my DH braved the cold and drove to Michael's (a 10 minute drive) just after 7:00 in the morning.  He wanted to buy a couple of canvases  and I purchased some ruffled yarn to knit scarves.  The canvases and the yarn were already on sale with a coupon for additional 25% on everything including sale items it was worth getting up early on a day off.

I started stitching the 1st scarf on Wednesday.  It was a little tricky getting the hang of stitching with this type of yarn but after a few false starts I think I have a handle on it now.   I am thinking of making a bunch for Christmas gifts next year.

This year I once again participated in the Christmas Card Exchange at 123 Stitch Message Board.  I just love seeing all the lovely different cards on display.  There were over 75 participants.

I joined 3 ornament SALs for 2013.   Christmas Ornament SAL 2013 and Halloween Ornament SAL 2013 (both hosted by Elaine who hosts Stitched with Love Exchanges) and Ornament SAL (this one entails all types of ornaments - Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc.) hosted by Silverlotus.

Before I sign off, I thought I would show you my progress on the Mini So Many Books, So Little Time.  I worked on it yesterday and today.

I wish you all the best in the New Year!!!!!!

Thank you for visiting!!!!
