Any Corrie Fans???

My mother and I began watching Coronation Street in the mid-seventies - when Annie Walker still ran the Rover's Return and just before Deirdre Hunt married Ray Langton and  gave birth to the lovely Tracy. I have been a ardent fan ever since and rarely miss an episode.  Nowadays I have a weekly ritual of grabbing some stitching and curling up in front of the television to watch the Sunday morning omnibus.

We were out at the trailer again (another hot one) this weekend.   The hummingbirds were hungry during the week and the feeders were almost empty so I made another batch of syrup Saturday morning.  I wanted to take some pictures of the hummers but I accidently locked the SD card in my camera and didn't know how to unlock it until today. (I never realized that there was a switch on the side to lock and unlock the card - not quite a tech savvy as I thought I was.)  No baking this weekend but we did continue to enjoy the PB oatmeal cookies I made last weekend.

I finished my July ornament for Christmas All Year Round.   I just need to finish it into an ornament.

I even found time to pick up my knitting needles and stitched up this cute little Mini Wash Mitt.

The rest of my stitching time I spent adding a few more stitches to the following  projects and starting a piece for the Tea Party in the Garden exchange.

I finished another audiobook this weekend - The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie.  I like to listen to audiobooks while stitching or going for a walk.   I thought I had read all the Agatha Christie mysteries back when I was teenager but lately I have come to the conclusion that I only read the Miss Marple books and so now I going to  read the Poirot ones.

(Whoops!!!  I apparently deleted my last post by accident while deleting some draft posts that I wasn't going to use!!!!   Oh, well!!!!)

We finally made it out to the trailer this past weekend. The weather was perfect. I spent over an hour cutting the grass around my in-laws' cottage (my DH did the grass around during the trailer and the parking area)and then settled down to some serious stitching.

As I mention earlier I participated in the My Favourite Things exchange at Stitched With Love Exchanges.  On Friday Elaine  emailed that everyone has received their packages so now we can post pictures on our blogs.   The following is what I received from Cherise.   She pick up from my questionnaire that I loved Christmas and sent along this lovely assortment of goodies.

And isn't this pillow absolutely gorgeous.   I love it so much and can't until December so I can display it.

Yesterday I sent off my package for the Patriotic Stitches and I currently thinking of joining the next one Tea-Party in the Garden.

I am almost finished the stitching on the Cappuccino Milk Chocolate Truffle by Gingerbread Girl.  I hope to get beading done this weekend.

On Tuesday my DH and I went out to see a movie - Prometheus (good visually but the plot needed some work) - and before it started I popped into Chapters next store and picked up the JCS Christmas preview issue.   I have picked out at least 4 ornaments that I want to stitch.   I need an ornament with a bird  in July for the  Christmas All Year Round  blog and I am thinking of doing the one from Blue Ribbon Designs.  I will decide over the weekend.

On a final note I want to mention that Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks is offering a chart called Love Another-Famine Relief on her site.   In an effort to raise money for the immediate need of food in Africa she is asking that you consider making  a donation to a charity of your own choosing or to the ones she suggested before downloading the chart.  It is a lovely chart.
