Check-In Time - Fully Finished Gallery 2019 - April

Another productive month.

Out of the "box of shame" I managed to fully finish 6 out of 12 of the Canadian Patriotic Snippets by Jeannette Douglas.  I would have finished the other 6 but I can't find the coordinating fabric to the one I used on these six (fabric pictured in background).   Can't figure out where I put the fabric.  They were both ordered and received at the same time.

I finally finished the last 2 ornaments in the Little House Needleworks' Farmhouse Christmas Series.  They are all done now and ready for Christmas 2019.

I also finished a card and an ATC for the Cross Stitch Card and ATC SAL group on Facebook.  I can show the card but the ATC hasn't been sent to my partner yet.

St. Patrick's Day Mini Cat - Lynn B (happinessiscrossstitching.blogspot.com)

My last 2 finishes for this month are January - A Year in Chalk - Hands on Design and Cancer - Zodiac sign - Satsuma Street.

Edited:  I forgot one of my finishes.  A Mill Hill kit.  I love these kits.  Once the beading and stitching is done all I have  to do is add a piece of felt on the back, cut it out and add a hanger.

Hopefully, I will be back next month with some more FFOs.

Take care and happy stitching!!!!

Day 23: DUCJC2015

Last night, after work, my DH and I went out to a play (Life, Death and the Blues - Excellent) so I decided to start a small MH kit called Peek-A-Brrr.  Before we left I had all the cross-stitching and just started on the beading.  We got home at 11 and decided to watch The Shining during which time I got most of the beading done.   This morning I completed the beading and finished it as an ornament.  (I made the hanger out of the left over bead.)

The kit calls it a Holiday Pin and was supposed to include a pin back, however there was only a magnet in the package.  But I always intended to make this into a Christmas ornament so it really didn't matter what was in the package.

I am not sure what I will be starting today.  I am tossing around 2 charts - Joy In The Journey (a Diane Williams design before she started Little House Needleworks) or Luna (Nora Corbett).  Come back tonight and see what I have decided on.

Take care and happy stitching!!!!!!!!

Thank you for visiting!!!!

Day 19: DUCJC2015

Today I started the last of the Mill Hill Nutcracker Ballet kits - Sugar Plum Fairy.  So, this evening, in between doing some laundry and preparing tomorrow's dinner in the slow cooker, I somehow managed to get quite a bit done on this one.

I am so looking forward to having these all ready to hang on my Nutcracker tree this Christmas.

I am not sure what I will be starting tomorrow.  I am thinking of pulling out one of my many PS Santa charts.   I have been very inspired by all the PS Santas started by CJ during this challenge.  Stay tuned.

Good night and happy stitching.

I really enjoy doing Mill Hill kits and I am thinking about revamping (again!) my to-do list for this challenge by adding some more from my stash. I have already decided to add the remainder of the Nutcracker Ballet ones - Clara and Sugar Plum Fairy.  I will be doing Clara tomorrow and the Sugar Plum Fairy on Monday.

Take care and happy stitching!!!!!!

Day 12: DUCJC2015

Today I started a Mill Hill kit I had in my stash for a few years. It is part of the Winter Holiday Nutcracker Ballet Collection - Prince.   I have already done the Mouse King, Drosselmeyer and the Nutcracker.  I bought them to put on my Nutcracker Tree and figured it was about time I completed the set.

Today I managed to stitch the top half of the Prince.  I just need to do the beading on this part and the stitching and beading on the bottom half.

Tomorrow my stitching time will be limited as I have a meeting to go  to, so I will pull out a UFO to work on - Halloween Cat Tree- Brittercup Designs.

Take care and happy stitching.

 Thank your for visiting!!!!!

Holidays are almost over :(

One more day and then it is back to work!  :(  Holidays are over!!! We came home a day early (yesterday) because I came down with a cold (What a way to end a perfectly glorious holiday - Just my luck!!!!) I really enjoyed this the past two weeks doing the things I love - spending time with my DH, cross-stitching and reading.

I managed to finish a four projects in the past few days:

I also worked on a couple of Christmas Ornaments and added a few more stitches on It's Berry Time.

Even had time to had a little time to knit some more dishcloths.  I didn't press them yet so they are a little off kilter.

Ramen Noodle Knitted Dishcloth - Little House in the Suburbs
Pattern came be found under "Crafts - Knitting Patterns"

 Rippling Diag by Janet Nogle

Daimonds with Moss Cloth by Janet Nogle
I listened to 3 audiobooks while stitching and knitting:

and read

The White Queen - Philippa Gregory

Well that was my holiday.   And outside of the cold (and now a bit of poison ivy - from the dog) it was everything I wanted it to be.

Take care and happy stitching!!!!!

Holiday Update

We came into the city for the day to cut the grass, do some laundry, go to the library and do some grocery shopping.  I just had enough time to upload the following pictures for this post and now we are on our way back out to the trailer.

I finished my stitched piece for the Tea Party in a Garden Exchange and it is now on its way to my partner.

I also finished the 1st part of the L*K Mystery SAL and the bonus pattern.  Here are the results.

This is stitched on 30ct WDW lilac linen with WDW Kohl.

I still need to add the embellishments.  I managed to forget those at home but I have them now.  I like how this is looking so far.

The following is the progress on some of my other projects.

First, I started another LHN ornament - Deck the Halls.

It I finished the stitching and now am working on the beading on this Mill Hill Halloween ornament.

A few more stitches added to

Red Alphabet

It's Berry Time

Reading with Jane (The Sampler Girl)

,

and Hearts of Canada - New Brunswick.

No knitting this time around (maybe this week) but did do a bit of reading.

Emma - Jane Austen (audiobook) - I have been inspired by The Sampler Girl Jane Austen designs to read and reread her books.
The Lady of the Rivers - Philippa Gregory
Catering to Nobody - Diane Mott Davidson
Cream Puff Murder - Joanne Fluke (ebook)

That's for now.  Take care and happy stitching!!
