SAL Updates

Last night I stayed up late (2:30am) to finish up Afternoon in Paris by Country Cottage Needleworks. A couple of weeks ago I had decided to make it into a pillow so I went online to find an appropriate fabric to use with it.

I found this on Esty (I actually ended up ordering it from a Canadian online fabric store - cheaper shipping.) The fabrics are part of Robert Kaufman's City Chic 2 collection by Anne Tavoletti.

(It doesn't show properly in the photos but the background is actually white.)

This morning I put this together.

I am rather pleased with the results.   I have now completed Day Twenty-Nine of the DUCJFC2016 and the Walk in the City with My Lady SAL.

I will be working on the following in March for my other SALs.

Stitch-Alongs

Yesterday, I decided to stop at Day Forty in the DUCCJFC2016 because my WIPs were calling me.

I have join a few SALs in blogworld and on Facebook and so I will be working on those projects first.

On Facebook the Little House and Country Cottage Stitching Group is having a "Walk in the City with My Lady" SAL and one of the chart options for this SAL is CCN's Afternoon in Paris. Since I had already started Afternoon in Paris I decided to join this SAL. Here is my progress on it as of last night.

Another SAL on facebook is JCS Stitch Along where we are stitching 12 ornaments from 2015 issue of JCS Special Holiday issue. I running a bit behind but hope to be caught up by the end of the month.

January is BRD's Snowmates which I am already stitching for my February choice in the Christmas Ornie SAL 2016.

February's ornie in the JCS Stitch along is PS' Winter's Eve.

I am also in the Hallowe'en Ornie SAL 2016 but I haven't made any further progress on February's ornie since January 31st.

Well, that is it for now. Take care and happy stitching!!!

THANK YOU FOR VISITING!!!

12/20/2015

I was busy yesterday!!!

Beside making my long overdue blog post yesterday I also managed to clean and finish decorating a bathroom (please note that my Nutcrackers even invade my bathrooms), clean my refrigerator, do some laundry, sort out my plastic food containers (disposing of those without lids), and baked pretzels, dog biscuits, choux pastry and mini quiche lorraine tarts.  I also finished Harvest Hunt - Kitty with Ghosts (Brittercup Designs) and put a few stitches in the 2007 PS Santa (although I had to frog some of them out as I discovered an error I made back in February when I last worked on it.)

With all this I managed get in over 10,000 steps without leaving the house.  It helps that I live in a 3-level split with a basement.  The kitchen is on the top floor, the laundry room on the third and the freezer in the basement.  I was up and down the steps a lot yesterday.

I had three more finishes that I forgot to post yesterday.  (Gosh, I was a lot busier than I thought.) The first is a chart by Stitchers Anon.  It was part of her Holmsey Hare Hop she hosted on her Facebook group - Holmsey Hare Haven.  I finished it in October.  The next I stitched in November for an Christmas Exchange.  It is called  Peace by Lindsay Lane Designs (2015 JCS Special Christmas Issue). The last one I stitched and finished earlier this month.  It is Yellow Penquin by Casey Buonaugurio Designs that was published in the JCS 2013 Special Christmas Issue. I stitched it  for my niece (who loves penquins).   She recently moved with her partner to BC and won't be home for Christmas.

Wow!  I can't believe I managed to post 2 days in a row!!!!!!!  I will leave you now as I want to get back to my PS Santa and hopefully make up what I had to frog.

Take care and happy stitching!

Thank you for visiting!!!!!!

11/15/2011

I am making it an early night tonight!

I am tired and am ready to hit the pillow. I worked on the SMO Witchy Boot this evening. All I have left to do is the backstitching.

I started another ornament over the weekend call Windows of Faith, Hope and Peace. It is by Primrose Needleworks and can be found in the 2010 JCS Christmas Ornament issue.

I am using Sullivan's Overdyed thread - Rainbow Sherbert.

Well, I wish you all a good night and I will be back tomorrow!

Take care and Happy Stitching!!!
