DUCJFC2016 - Day Two

I continued on with the bird theme today and stitched on the Commemorative Hummingbirds of the World 2013 - Red-billed Streamertail © Crossed Wing Collection.

I am stitching it on 28 ct Jobelan Tintagel from Hand Dyed Fabrics by Stephanie.

I forgot to post yesterday two final finishes I had in 2015.  The first is Sunflower Fairy by Nora Corbett and the other is another PS Santa from 2014.

With these 2 I managed to finish 27 out of the 59 new starts, WIPs and UFOs I worked on in the DUCJC2015.  I hoping to do a little bit better in this year's challenge.

Take care and happy stitching!!!!!!

Thank you for visiting!!!!!!

It's Sunday Update Time Again

I had good week stitching wise. I made significant progress on both the TW Peacock Tapestry and the 2008 CWC Hummingbird. As I posted yesterday I also finished 2 Christmas Ornaments and 1 dishcloth.

The Hummingbird is close to being finished:

I finished all Eyelet Diamonds in the border and started filling in the bottom border on the Peacock Tapestry.

I joined the Stitching Exchange Blog the earlier this week and yesterday received the name of my partner for the "Ready for Spring" Exchange. I spent part of yesterday deciding on what I am going to stitch and getting the fabric and threads together. I am planning to start stitching on it later today.

Happy Stitching!!!!!

Weekly Update

Now that the holidays are over and things are slowly getting back to normal (I love my Nutcrackers but it sure is a process getting them all pack away until next Christmas.), I am going to try to get back to posting a weekly update on my stitching. Yesterday was a great stitching day.

I am back to stitching on the "Twas The Night Before Christmas". I finished up one stanza of the poem and started on another motif.

The following is my progress on the 2008 CWC Hummingbird. You can see a bit of him starting to develop on the left side.

I am determined this year to finish the Peacock Tapestry. I worked on adding the Diamond eyelets to the border this past week.

Happy Stitching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's Finally Finished

Finally after 3 months I have finished the Winter Feeder (Crossed Wing Collection). I started it in January for the Winter Theme SAL at NH. I love this pattern (as I love anything by CWC)and am so happy to see it completed. I added the last charm on about an hour ago. Eventually I hope to stitch the rest of the Feeders -Autumn, Spring and Summer.
