Weekend Update

I managed a little stitching this week.

First off I finished another Halloween Ornament:

 Babs & Boo
Designed by Lynda Watkins & Angie Williams
of Fresh Threads Studio
(2011 JCS Halloween Collection Book)

I also started a Christmas Ornament for another SCE exchange - Christmas Joy.  Sorry, no pics for the time being.

Last but not least, I started another Halloween Ornament.  This is my progress so far:

The design is called "Happy Owl O Ween".  Designed for Pumpkin Seed Stitchers by Needle Bling Designs - Theresa Curry & Brian Stugelmayer.

Finally, I haven't done a TUSAL update for a loooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg time!  So here is my collection for the past few months.

Lots of green, black and orange for Halloween.  A little Kreinik blending filament and dishcloth yarn.
Well, I have to get back to my laundry and more stitching!!!!!!!
Take care and happy stitching!!!!!!!

A Week of Finishes!!!!!!!!

I had a another productive week of stitching and managed several finishes.

First off I have finished off both the items for an exchange I am participating in this month (sorry no pics yet). Since the mailing date is set for the end of the month, I am really pleased to have them done already.

Next, I finished 2  more ornaments - one for Christmas and one for Halloween.

and finally the  pièce de résistance - I finished the L*K Holly & Hearts Mystery Sampler Club.

I have now pulled out another WIP from last year - Forget-me-not Sampler © 2013 With thy Needle and Thread - to work on.  I will also be starting another LHN ornament - Saltbox Village.  I am still working on the Dimension kit - Beary Merry Christmas!  I have the 2nd bear almost finished.

Well, I am off to get some more stitching in and to re-watch the miniseries - Brideshead Revisited (1981).

Take care and happy stitching!!!!

Thank you for visiting!!!

All in all a very productive IHSW

The only plans I had this weekend besides stitching and reading is to pack away my Christmas decorations, so it was the perfect weekend for IHSW.

I managed to get a lot of stitching done and all my Christmas decorations are packed away for another year. First off, I finished the LHN complimentary pattern - Seven Pines and even finished it into an ornament.

While I had the sewing machine out, I finished the last  Becky Boo's Let it Snow snowman and L*K's Scary (from the 2012 Very Scary Mystery Sampler) into ornaments.

I also finished the 2nd Part of the L*K Holly & Hearts Mystery Sampler and made a start on Part 3.

I then pulled out another WIP from a few years back.  It is a Dimensions kit call Beary Merry Christmas!   It consists of 6 bear ornaments on plastic canvas.  I had 1 ornament finished already and now have started on the 2nd one.

Lastly, I started another LHN ornament - Pine Tree Inn.

I hope you all had a great weekend.  Take care and happy stitching!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for visiting!!!!!!

I also started the 2nd LHN Little Sheep Virtue - Love, the March freebie in the 123 SAL Freebie Challenge - Rabbit on Scissors and another Halloween Ornament for the 2013 Halloween SAL - Black Oak Lane.

I wanted to start another Christmas Ornament but didn't get around to it.  I will probably start it tonight.

It is not going to be a late night tonight!!!!!

After two nights staying up until past 1:00 am, I am hitting the sack early tonight.

I managed to get a little stitching done tonight but I will wait until tomorrow before I post any pics. I added the antlers to my 3 reindeer, put a few more stitches in Witchy Boot and pulled out another one of my Crazy January Challenge pieces - "Joy to the World" from Little House Needleworks.

Unfortunately, although I would love to stitch some more this evening, I am presently yawning way too much so I am going to say Good Night.

Take care and happy stitching!!!!

Time for the reveal!!!

Elaine has posted the Exchange pictures for the Fall into Halloween Exchange on the Stitched With Love Exchange blog so I now I can post picture of what I received and what I sent.

This is what I received from Lesleyanne:

The 2 stitched pieces she sent are welcome additions to my Halloween wreath:

The following is what I sent to April:

This pattern for this piece can be found here.   I attached it to a black canvas tote bag with a spider and 3 cobweb buttons.

The next piece is another free pattern that can be found here:

I spent the weekend stitching for the next exchange - Winter Wonderland Christmas Exchange.  It is all finished and I am quite pleased with how it turned out but alas I can't post pics of it yet.

I also started another Halloween ornament.   I need one more for my wreath.   It is called Witchy Boot by Sandra Dering (San Man Originals).  The pattern for this can found at CyberStitchers.  I will wait until it is finished before I post a picture.  I fell in love with the mice in this pattern.  They are adorable.

Happy stitching!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween Exchanges

Despite everything that has been going on I did manage to participate in an couple of Halloween Exchanges this past month.

The first one was through the San Man Originals Message Board. This is what I stitched for my partner, Loriana.

Colorful Witch by Barbara Ana

And this is what she sent me:

Isn't it cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Loriana!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 2nd Exchange was through the 123 Stitch Message Board. I stitch this one out of JCS 2010 Annual Halloween Issue.

By the Full Moon by Tracy Honer of Ink Circles

Tracy also stitched an ornament for me out the same issue. Jack O Lantern by Casey Buonaugurio. The pattern is on the same page as the one I stitched and Tracy e-mailed me that she just ordered the full pattern that the "By the Full Moon" came from. Coincidence , anyone!!!

Love all the pumpkins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Tracy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be back with more ornament pictures on Sunday!!!!!!!!!!

Time to Blog Again!!

Hope those of you that celebrate Halloween had a good one. We had about 70 children show up at the door. A good number but not as many as we use to get when we first moved into the neighbourhood 17 years ago. I believe our highest number was well over 140. It was quite a jump from our previous neighbourhood where we barely had 40.

My prize from Missy arrived earlier this week. I was a "good girl" and didn't peek so what I received was a surprise. In fact it turned out to be a total surprise. I forgot it was coming and when I saw the package on my front step, I couldn't figure out what it was. The return address was unfamiliar and it was too early for either of the Christmas Exchanges I am currently participating in.

I absolutely love my prize. The ornament is gorgeous. (If anyone is interested the chart can be found in Tis Hallowe'en by Blackbird Designs ) and the pincushion is so adorable (love the black with the red leaf). There is also a Halloween Pencil, a Vampire Lips pin and cute Halloween decorated magnets. Thanks again, Missy!!!!!!

A few weeks ago I joined a Fabric of the Month Club at Silkweaver's. I choose the Mini - FOTM#2 which consists of 3 9" x 13" pieces of hand-dyed 28 ct or 32 ct fabric. My 1st order arrived this week also.

The 2 in the back are 28 ct Opalescent Lugana Solos and the one in the front is called Winter Skye (32 ct. Lugana).

I am going to spend this weekend stitching ornaments. I have one more ornament to stitch for an exchange and I want to stitch a couple as Thank you gifts plus I need a few more for the family to chose from at Christmas.

I am a little frustrated with the Kreinik Ornament of the Month Kit - Christmas Tree Stocking I am currently stitching. I just had enough of the #4 Braid 203 Flame and I ran short of the #4 Braid 202HL Aztec Gold). Thank goodness I had a spool of the 202HL in my stash. I haven't finished stitching the sections calling for #4 Braid 9194 Star Green but I already checked my stash and I have a spool of that one also so I am okay if I run short.

Happy Stitching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween Wreath

Since I started stitching Halloween Ornaments and a received a few in an recent exhcange I figured I needed to do something with them. So I decided to make a wreath for the front door. I went to Michaels this afternoon and bought some ribbon and a black wreath and this is the result: I have one more ornament to put together (the stitching is done) and I will be adding that one to wreath. Now, if I can find my wreath hanger. It isn't in the box with my Christmas wreaths like it is suppose to be. Uggggggggggggggggggggh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
