Too tired to stitch but ....................

I did it anyways. (The jury is still out on whether or not it was a good idea.) I completely forgot about the time change this morning and got up way too early. I had been up for a couple of hours when my DH wakes up and the first thing out of his mouth was "Didn't the clocks go back last night?" Boy did I feel stupid.

Anyways, after dinner with my Mom and brother this afternoon, I sat down in my stitching corner to finish off the iStitch Mystery SAL. Its done but boy was that a trial and a half. It took over 3 hours to complete the initial in the bottom right hand corner. I kept missing a row or a stitch and had to "frog" at least 3 times. However, I persevered and here it is.

If you are interested, Carol has this design - Sew Mystery - available for purchase on her site.

I am not sure if  I will do any more stitching this evening.  I don't think I have the energy for anymore "torture".

Take care and happy stitching!!!!

iStitch SAL update - Part 5 completed

I forgot to take the fabric with me when I went on holidays last week so I was a little delayed finishing up Part 5 of the SAL. Last night I finally had a chance to complete it and here is the result. I will hopefully have time to work on Part 6 this weekend.

Happy Stitching!!!!!

Oops!!!!

I have been so busy with Girl Guides the last couple of weeks I haven't had much time to stitch, knit or read.  I am going crazy!!!  We are leaving shortly for a week's vacation at the trailer (for some much needed R & R) and I thought I would do a quick post before we leave. I will do a major update when we get back. I completely forgot about the TUSAL update. Although since I haven't been doing much stitching there is not much progress to show.

The following is an update on the iStitch SAL. I completed Part 4 quickly the morning it was released as I knew I wouldn't get another chance in the following week. Part 5 was released last weekend but I didn't have a chance to stitch on it yet.

My Blogoversary was September 1st and I wanted to celebrate by doing a giveaway then but as usual time got away from me.   I will be doing one when I get back next week.   So watch this space!!!!!

Take care and Happy Stitching!!!

iStitch Mystery SAL update plus more

I am suppose to be on a Scrapbooking retreat this weekend (I don't scrapbook but a lot of my friends do so I just bring along my cross-stitching and admire their creativity)but I have been suffering with a head cold all week so I decided to stay home so as not to infect anyone else. I am disappointed but considering I still felt pretty stuffed up when I woke up this morning I think I made the right decision.

When I woke up this morning I was please to see that Carol (iStitch) sent out Part 3 of the Mystery SAL. I quickly stitched it up this morning and now I am waiting patiently for Part 4 to be released. Carol has promised that if a significant number of participants send in their completed pictures within the week she will release Part 4 next weekend (a week early). I hope that there are more 'flying' needles out there.

Last weekend I worked exclusively on the Birds of A Feather Mystery SAL. This was my progress as of last Monday. As you can see, I am in the home stretch. I can't wait until it is finished.

Lastly, I finally got around to scanning in the remaining dishcloths I stitched while I was on holidays in August.  I have been too "lazy" to take my laptop downstairs to connect to my printer/ scanner so this morning I finally brought the printer upstairs.  Which makes sense since my desktop PC is currently not working (and my IT guy - my brother - is too busy to look at it.)

Well, I think I have spent enough time on the computer.  I need to get some housework and stitching done (and not necessarily in that order) ;).

Hope you all have a great weekend (it is going to be a hot one here) and happy stitching!!!!

Questions about the Mystery SALs

To answer a couple a questions I was asked about the Mystery SALs I am currently stitching.

1. Birds of A Feather Mystery SAL by With Thy Needle and Thread.

This was a 3-part Mystery SAL that started in May of this year. All three parts are available from various LNSs and ONSs. Here is a list of some.

123 Stitch
Traditional Stitches
Down Sunshine Lane
Anita's Little Stitches

2. Mystery SAL by iStitch - This SAL started August 13. This SAL is limited to 125 participants and is currently full. Carol has stated on her blog she will post if anyone drops out.

Thanks again for dropping by. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Happy Stitching!

Progress on 2 Mystery SALs

The holidays are over and today was the first day back at work. It is always busy the first few days back since I am the only one who does my job and I have a lot of catching up to do. Oh, well, I guess I need to work in order to support this hobby!

I worked on 2 mystery SALs this weekend.   The first is the Birds of A Feather Mystery SAL that I have been working on for the past few weeks.   I now have part 3 and started working on that section now.   I should have this finished in the next week or so!

The second I started on this weekend.  It is from Carol at iStitch.  I am using 28ct white evenweave and Valdani hand dyed Pearl Silk - colour S9 - Herb Garden - Muddy Monet Collection.

I love the way this one is looking. I can't wait until the next part comes out on Saturday.

Either later this evening or tomorrow, I will post pictures of the dishclothes I kinitted up in the past week.

That's it for now.   Thanks for visiting and Happy Stitching.
